What will the header of my website look like?
The header of a magazine will typically include key website features such as a logo/masthead, as well a set of linked pages to allow users to easily reach different sections of the website. For my magazine, Stile Serio, I plan to take inspiration from other style magazines, particularly those under the Condé Nast brand in order to make my magazine fit in with these other popular style magazine brands. usually, the only graphical elements on the header of a website is a logo and some text.
These features generally include a flat white background with the magazine's logo at the top, a bar with links to the main sections of the magazine's website. The font used for these is typically a generic sans serif font. The website for GQ magazine follows this house style exactly, as shown below.

I also wish to add my own original elements to this style of header in order to add more originality to my magazine's website and stand out more in comparison to other style magazines. To do this, I can add stylistic changes such a difference in background colour and font type.
As a result, for my header I plan to follow the typical house style of Condé Nast style magazines by including the logo of my magazine in the top centre of my website's header, and a set of linked pages to the website versions of the sections in the print version of my magazine. However, I plan to use a darker inverted colour scheme, with a different, more stylised font in order to differentiate my magazine brand from others and give my magazine a more unique appeal with younger audiences.
What content will be on my homepage and linked pages?
The homepage of my magazine will be a main information hub on the most important and enticing stories that are most likely to interest the average reader of my magazine. This is because the homepage will usually be the first thing the reader sees upon reaching the website and therefore my highest profile articles should be visible immediately to draw their attention.
The linked pages of my website will be identical to the main sections of my print magazine, with the addition of new articles and stories that are not available in the print release. this gives the reader an additional reason to visit the website if they already own an issue of the magazine physically.
What audio-visual content will be shown on my website?
In regards to audio-visual graphics on my website, I plan to include a video relating to one of the highlighted articles on my homepage. Videos are an excellent way to draw the readers' attention to a particular article or story, and I plan to take advantage of this by recording an interview between the magazine and one of the spotlights of my articles in the form of a celebrity interview. This will allow for an eye catching audio-visual element to be present on the homepage of my website which will help in drawing in readers as well as being an exclusive interview that can't be delivered the same way in the print version of the magazine.
